Eveleth-Gilbert Poms

The goal of the Eveleth-Gilbert poms team is to support the athletic teams during their games while having fun and promoting school spirit. We attend all home games that the pep band performs.

Advisor/Coach Name and Contact Information:

The advisor is Tracy Salin. Please contact her at tsalin1@range.fairview.org or text or call 780-8675 for any questions you may have.

When does it run?

Throughout the school year and performs at fall and winter sporting events and pep fests when the pep band is present.

Where does it meet and when would I have to be there?

Practices are usually once a week and can be subject to twice a week depending on upcoming performances.  Most practices will be in the evenings. Some may be in the mornings before school. Practices are usually held in the old gym and we do the best to work around everyone’s sports schedules. You are required to be present at all practices and performances.

How do I sign up?

If you have a positive attitude, like to have fun, and make new friends, this is the activity for you!  You will find that the poms squad spends a lot of time together at practices and athletic events. The girls end up building life-long friendships. This activity also builds on trust, leadership, and confidence.  If any of these concepts are skills that you would like to build on, please consider trying out this spring for the 2017-2018 school year. It will be held in April of 2017. The fee to participate for the 2017-2018 school year will be $75.00. You will also be responsible to purchase warm-ups, shoes and poms.

What else should I know?

  • We put on a few different fund-raisers throughout the year
  • We perform a dance for at least one pep fest a year
  • Poms girls get in free during the games we perform at
