ACT Testing Set for April 24th at EGHS.

On Tuesday April 24th, 2018, all juniors at Eveleth-Gilbert Senior High will have the opportunity to take the ACT Plus Writing, which is an optional college readiness assessment that tests students’ abilities in English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing. The ACT is used as a college entrance exam. Students will be able to send their results to four colleges, as they would normally be able to on an ACT National testing date. ACT scores may also be used to qualify students for Concurrent Enrollment and PSEO college courses. Unlike the ACT National Testing dates, the Eveleth-Gilbert test on April 24 is FREE!  If you or your student want to OPT out of taking the free ACT test at the school on April 24th, you will need to contact the counselor, cpillsbury@egschools.org or by calling the High School office at 218-744-7706 to notify us of your decision.

There are no make-ups for this test date. If your student is unable to attend for whatever reason, you will have to take the ACT on a national test date and pay ACT's fees. Students qualifying for free and reduced lunch may qualify for a voucher for the National test dates, they can receive one from the High School Counseling office.
